Melissa Cecil is the VP, Chief Information Officer for UF Health St. Johns. Mrs. Cecil is widely recognized throughout the organization for her dynamic and engaging leadership style and unsurpassed technical expertise. She brings twenty years of information technology and project management experience to this role.
Mrs. Cecil previously served as Director of Information Technology for UF Health St. Johns, managing a team that supports over 125 applications. She has played a key role in deploying the organization’s digital strategy, telehealth implementation, and launch of the ambulatory enterprise IT platform while ensuring seamless day-to-day technology operations throughout the UF Health St. Johnsenterprise.
Prior to joining in Flagler Health in 2011, Mrs. Cecil held senior-level analyst, consulting, and leadership roles at Keane, Inc., CTG Healthcare Solutions, Baptist Health, and Cerner Corporation.
She has a Bachelor of Science in Information Studies from Florida State University and numerous IT certifications. Her insight, expertise, and leadership will play a vital role in advancing UF Health St. Johnstoday and in the future.
Mrs. Cecil serves on the boards of the St. Johns County School District IT Academy, Fostering Connections, and Florida CIO Council.
She was born and raised in Jacksonville, Fla., and she and her husband, James, have three children.
